Speed51.com debuted a new social media feature during 2014 Speedweeks which encouraged teams and drivers to share photos of their racecars coming together for the 2014 season.  The #51ShopPics hashtag on 51’s AP Racing Brakes Twitter page featured in a Twitter box on the right side of all Trackside Now events during Florida Speedweeks on Speed51.com.  With racers using Twitter hashtag #51ShopPics, fans everywhere were able to see the race shops, admire the hard work that went into this year's racecars and get a sneak peek at new paint schemes for 2014.

51 is now continuing the #51ShopPics Twitter box, which is presented by JEGS.com, as teams get ready to open their 2014 regular seasons.

"We know how much work goes into preparing racecars before they even see a racetrack at the beginning of the season," said Speed51.com Executive Director Matt Kentfield.  "That's why we want to showcase the hard work of racers all around the world with our #51ShopPics Twitter box presented by JEGS.  Fans everywhere can see where the cars are maintained, almost making this hashtag like a racing version of the old 'Cribs' TV show, plus get a preview of some of the new paint schemes they'll soon be seeing at the track."

Drivers including ARCA/Late Model racer Michael Lira, ACT Tiger Sportsman driver Tucker Williams and North Carolina Late Model competitor Justin Crider just to name a few have all used the hashtag to share their behind the scenes photos with the fans already.

51 will continue the #51ShopPics hashtag via the 51 AP Racing Brakes Twitter as the regular season approaches for many divisions, giving drivers and teams alike the opportunity to connect with their followers via a new and creative outlet.

Not only will #51ShopPics add a new element to the AP Racing Brakes Twitter, but it will also allow teams to interact in preparation for their events by enhancing their own personal social media as well as boosting the preliminary press for season-opening events.

51's AP Racing Brakes Twitter is the home of enhanced live race updates as well as breaking news and other short track information that works hand-in-hand with Speed51.com and 51's Five Star Race Car Bodies Facebook page.
