Speed51.com, the short track news source for pavement racing since 2001, is pleased to announce a new partnership with the International Supermodified Association (ISMA) for the 2014 racing season that will make Speed51.com the official news site of ISMA.
Speed51 has partnered with ISMA to bring fans across the United States and beyond live lap-by-lap, behind the scenes coverage of the fastest short track racecars in the world today.
“It’s something new we’re trying,” said ISMA President Howie Lane. “I really liked the coverage that Speed51 provided at Star (NH) and Thompson (CT) with their Trackside Now coverage. This will be a big step for us. I’m really looking forward to being able to display the ISMA product to fans around the country. ”
One-of-a-kind Trackside Now coverage provided by Speed51.com will allow fans that are unable to travel to ISMA events the chance to get to know the stars and cars of ISMA up close and personal. Once experienced with Speed51’s live coverage, it will be tough to turn down an opportunity to experience the 100+ mph speeds of the ISMA Supermodifieds in person.
“I watched ISMA at tracks such as Thompson Speedway (CT), Oswego Speedway (NY), and Sundusky Speedway in Ohio and have always been a fan of their high speed racing action," said Bob Dillner, Speed51.com owner and NASCAR on FOX broadcaster. "There is nothing that replaces the feeling that you get when those winged warriors race by you. We believe expanding their exposure to Speed51.com will add more fans for this type of racecar.”
Beyond the coverage available for fans unable to attend certain events, coverage of all ISMA events will be available for viewing on mobile devices from the race track. This type of coverage will allow the fans in attendance at the events to follow along for updated news and information while they’re watching their favorite drivers from the grandstands.
“I think it can only help,” Lane said. “It can help the tracks we go to now to get more people in the stands. Most of our shows are very well attended and this will only help make it better. I just see it as a positive-positive. It will allow the people who can’t be there to get to know what we’re all about and also enhance the at-track experience for fans in attendance following along on their mobile devices.”
In addition to the live lap-by-lap coverage of all ISMA events, 51 Sports, the parent company of Speed51.com, will be providing public relations service to help bring the ISMA race reports and results to media outlets across the globe.
