Seventh Annual Race & Performance Expo Coming Up
Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles, IL will host the Seventh Annual Race & Performance Expo on February 22 & 23.  The Expo will have extended hours this year with a schedule of 9-6pm on Saturday and 9-5pm on Sunday. Many racing retailers, race engine builders, car builders, tracks, series, sanctioning bodies, fabricators, trailers and parts manufacturers will be on hand both day help competitors get ready for the 2014 season in the Midwest.  More information can be found at www.raceperformanceexpo.com.

Four Wisconsin Tracks to Host Three Race Series Events in 2014
Madison International Speedway, Marshfield Motor Speedway, State Park Speedway and Wisconsin International Speedway will each host a three-event series in 2014.

Madison International Speedway’s Triple Crown Series returns with events on their famous Friday nights.  The three round series will take place on Friday, May 30, Friday, July 11, and Friday, August 15th for Super Late Models.  Limited Late Models will have a Late Model Challenge Series on Friday, June 6th, Friday, August 1st and Friday, August 15th.

Marshfield Motor Speedway’s Yellow River Racing Series returns to their half-mile asphalt oval on Saturday, May 24th, Saturday, July 12th and Saturday, September 13th.

State Park Speedway will remember three of their competitors with their signature memorial races.  The Flip Merwin Memorial is scheduled for Thursday, June 19th, Larry Detjens Memorial on July 25-26th and the Wayne “Lodi” Lodholz Memorial on Thursday, August 21st.

The Fox River Racing Club will host the famous Red, White, and Blue Series at Wisconsin International Raceway again this year.  The Red race is scheduled for Thursday, June 12th, White Race on Thursday, July 17 and the Blue race on Thursday, August 14th.

Redbud 300 and Battle at Berlin 251 Swap Dates
The Redbud 300 weekend at Anderson Speedway in Anderson, Indiana will be happening a month earlier this year to help another track.  The popular ARCA/CRA Super Series event will take place on June 12-14 this year.

“Berlin Raceway asked us if we could swap our dates because the County Fair is taking place during their traditional Battle at Berlin weekend,” Rick Dawson, Anderson Speedway Promoter said.  “This is just a simple thing of short tracks working together and we are happy to help them.”

The Battle at Berlin 251 will take place on July 19th at the Marne, Michigan oval.

Elko Speedway Welcomes New Staff Members
Duane Fredrickson has returned to Elko Speedway as their Marketing & Promotions Director.  Duane is part of the famous family in the central Minnesota area where he himself was a competitor in the mid-80’s. He was the Director of Marketing when his brother Bob purchased Elko Speedway in 1991.  

Kyle Estes is making the move from flagman to the NASCAR Technical Inspection Official for the Super Late Model and Big 8 Late Model divisions in 2014. Estes has been involved at both Elko Speedway and the former Raceway Park as a competitor and driver.

Elko Speedway will open their 2014 season on Saturday, May 10th.
