Mahoning Valley Speedway concluded two full days of Test and Tune as race teams from all track classes came out to ready themselves for the 2014 season Opening Night slated for Saturday, April 12.

Race-starved fans of the paved quarter mile Lehighton oval will be treated to a six division show including four extra distance, extra paying features. Modifieds, Late Models, Street Stocks, Dirt Mods, Pro 4s and Hobby Stocks will be in competition with the action starting at 6:00 p.m.

A 100 lap Modified race will be the headliner of the night with $4000 awaiting the winner. It is well known that whenever Mahoning offers that kind of cash over such a distance it always brings together a stellar field of pavement Modified aces that yearn to have a coveted Mahoning 100-lap win behind their name. This will be the highest paying 100 lap feature ever run at Mahoning Valley, an increase of $1000 from previous ones.

Late Models, Street Stocks and Dirt Mods will also battle in extra distance features that will return very nice dividends to each respective winner.

50 laps will be run by the Late Models with $1200 to the winner. $1000 first place prize money goes to each Street Stock and Dirt Mod victor. Street Stocks will participate in a 50-lapper while the Dirt Mods will execute 40 circuits. Regular features for the Pro 4s (20 laps) and Hobby Stocks (15 laps) will also take place.

Adult grandstand admission is $25. Children 10-years and under are free with a paying adult. Grandstands open at 4:00 p.m.

Early paid practice runs from 1:00 to 3:00. Regular practice is 4:00 – 5:00. Qualifying heats begin at 6:00.
