The 2014 Speed51.com Short Track Draft presented by JEGS ballot was sent to more than 200 short track insiders, including media members, team and driver development professionals, track and series promoters and officials, product and industry representatives, NASCAR National Series drivers, crew members and more. The voters could select as few as 10 and as many as 51 drivers on their ballot, ranked in order that they would choose the drivers to compete for their Driver Development team in the top levels of the sport. The drivers with the best average result made the list of the top-51 picks in the 2014 Short Track Draft. Positions 2-10 were announced in the morning of May 9, with Picks 11-25 were announced in the evening May 9. Picks 26-51 were announced Monday evening.
The following drivers received multiple votes from the 2014 Draft panel, but fell short of the required votes to make the top 51 selections in the Draft.
Alex Bodine – 13 (Mini Outlaw Series)
Son of NASCAR's Brett Bodine. Made the move to Millbridge Speedway’s newest division, the Intermediate division after racing Box Stock’s in 2013.
Alex Guenette – 18 (Pro Late Models)

Andrew Ranger – 27 (Canadian Tire Series)
Won 2013 ARCA race at New Jersey Motorsports Park, Nationwide Series and ARCA road course specialist.
Andy Jankowiak - 26 (Modifieds)
Modified winner throughout New York and Pennsylvania. Strong runs in indoor TQ Midget events against top racers.
Anthony Sergi - 18 (Super Late Models)
2013 NASCAR Florida Rookie of the Year and Orlando SpeedWorld (FL) track champion. Consistent competitor at most Florida SLM events.
Austin Green – 12 (Legends)
Won nine of 10 Charlotte Motor Speedway Bandolero Bandits races in 2012, as well as the division championship, won one race in Bandolero Outlaw division and second in points in 2013.
Austin Hill - 20 (NASCAR K&N Pro Series East)
Won the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race at Dover last year, a past Late Model winner at Gresham Motorsports Park (GA) and a former Legends Champion.
Austin Hubbard – 22 (Dirt Late Models)
Four Late Model wins in 2013, former WoO SLM Rookie of the Year.

Finished third in the Madison (WI) International Speedway Triple Crown Challenge Series in 2013. He was the ARCA Midwest Tour Rookie of the Year in 2008.
Nick Sweet - 29 (ACT Late Models)
He is the 2013 winner of the famous Milk Bowl at Thunder Road (VT). He also has three ACT wins and two Vermont Governor’s Cup victories. Plus won Labor Day and Memorial Day events at Thunder Road. Twice a track champion at Thunder Road (VT).
Paige Decker - 21 (Late Models, TUNDRA)
First female to win a TUNDRA Super Late Model feature in 2013. Also competed at Florida Speedweeks. She is part of the NASCAR Drive for Diversity program in 2014.
Paul Shafer, Jr. - 17 (Super Late Model)
Won the Illiana Motor Speedway (IN) Super Late Model title at the age of 15. Finished 17th in his first Snowball Derby. Running for Rookie of the Year in the ARCA/CRA Super Series and ARCA Midwest Tour.
Payton Ryan – 15 (Pro Late Model/Late Model Stock)
Legends standout is in his first year running Late Models. Several strong runs and getting experience in multiple different types of asphalt Late Models.
Rowan Pennink - 28 (Modified Racing Series, NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour)

Shane Golobic – 22 (Sprint Cars)
Fourteen career Winged Sprint wins in 360/410 cars. He also have seven USAC Midget wins on dirt and asphalt.
Shawn Solomitto – 25 (NASCAR Modifieds)
2012 Riverhead Champion and NASCAR Whelen All-American Series New York State Champion. He has six wins in the last three years and was fourth in the spring NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour race at Riverhead.
Skylar Holzhausen - 24 (ARCA Midwest Tour, Super Late Models)
Picked up a win in the ARCA Midwest Tour last year at Marshfield Motor Speedway (WI). He also picked up a $10,000 payday at Elko Speedway in 2012. Last driver to win the Dick Trickle 99 in front of the legend.
Steve Apel - 25 (Super Late Models)
Won the 2013 Super Late Model championship at Slinger Super Speedway (WI) winning four feature events. He also finished third at the 2013 National Short Track Championships at Rockford Speedway (IL).
Steve Masse - 24 (Modified Racing Series)
In 2013, he picked up three wins, six top-five’s and seven top-10’s in the Valenti Modified Racing Series. Nearly won NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour race at Thompson (CT) in a North-South showdown event.
Tanner Swanson - 23 (USAC)
USAC Midget Night Before the 500 winner. Two-time USAC Western States Sprint Car Champion.
Tate Fogleman - 14 (PASS South)
Finished fifth in the 2013 PASS South points. He has two PASS Pro Late Model wins in the 2012.
Taylor Ferns – 18 (Open Wheels/ARCA)
USAC D1 Midget champion in 2011. She is the most successful female driver in USAC history. Made several ARCA starts with Venturini Motorsports.
Travis Cope - 26 (Super Late Model)
He is the 2013 Bright House Series Champion. He also has won two Florida Triple Crown Series titles. Has won the New Smyrna Speedweeks finale 100 lappers in 2012 and 2013.
Ty Majeski - 19 (ARCA Midwest Tour)
Has won in a variety of cars and trucks. He has victories in Midwest Trucks and in the Big 8 Series. Also won at La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway in 2013. One of those wins came at Oktoberfest.
Tyler Church - 25 (PASS South)
Won at Hickory and the Mason Dixon Meltdown in the PASS South competition. He is also a former runner-up in points at Hickory Motor Speedway (NC). Won PASS race at Ace Speedway (NC) last week.
Tyler Dippel - 14 (SLM, Dirt Modified)
Northeastern dirt Modified racer getting asphalt Super Late Model experience in 2014. In PASS South this year, has two top-five’s in four starts. He also has two top-10 finishes at this year’s World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing at New Smyrna Speedway.
Tyler Roahrig - 23 (Outlaw Late Models, CRA)
The only two-time winner of the Summer Sizzler Outlaw Late Model event. He also has finished second twice in the Kalamazoo Klash. Everyone at Speed 51 wishes Tyler a speedy recovery from a recent accident.
Vanna Brackett – 27 (Late Models)
She has worked her way up to Late Models in the Northeast. In 2011, she had three top-fives in 10 starts in the Strictly Stock Series at Oxford Plains Speedway. She has over 35 feature wins.
William Byron – 16 (Legends/Late Model Stock Cars)
2013 Legends Young Lion National Champion. Teamed up with JR Motorsports' Late Model program, finishing second twice at Hickory Motor Speedway this year.
