Maxima Racing Oils Dominator
The Driver Who Dominated the Weekend in Short Track Racing
Weekend Of: January 17-19, 2014
For Travis Cope, New Smyrna Speedway (FL) has been a playground in the early part of the Super Late Model racing season. The Weeki Wachee, Florida driver scored his second victory in dominating fashion in the Peter Orr Orange Blossom 100 Saturday evening at the half-mile.
Cope took the lead on lap six and never let it go as he set the pace for the rest of the night to capture the second leg of the Florida Triple Crown. This comes just two weeks after he showed the same type of performance by winning the Red-Eye 100 at New Smyrna.
Cope is looking to capitalize his first two dominating runs in the Sunshine State on the final night of the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing. In that event on February 22, Cope will be looking to lock down a clean sweep of the three early-season prestigious events at New Smyrna as well as his second-straight Triple Crown championship.
For his performance Travis Cope has been selected as this week's Maxima Racing Oils Dominator. For his performance, Cope will receive a product certificate from Maxima.
