The Driver Who Dominated the Week in Short Track Racing
Some of the nation's top Pro Late Model talents converged on Lebanon I-44 Speedway in Missouri for the Mercy Masters of the Pros 144 JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour event Saturday. Most of the young drivers in the field were looking to capture the biggest win of their careers. Only one, Anderson Bowen, was able to turn those hopes into a reality.
Sixteen-year-old Anderson Bowen, of Suwanee, Georgia, admitted that the $8,000 payday from I-44 was the biggest win of his already-successful racing career. Bowen set fast time in qualifying over the 32-car field. He started fifth after the redraw, bided his time to get to the front and capitalized on a restart for the final 44-lap sprint to the finish to claim his second career JEGS Tour victory.
For his performance over the weekend at Lebanon I-44 Speedway in Missouri, Anderson Bowen is this week’s Maxima Racing Oils Dominator. Bowen will receive a product certificate from Maxima Racing Oils.
